Leather executive chairs
Leather is the traditional choice for a director office, and the word covers several very different materials. It is worth knowing which one you are buying.
Know what "leather" means here
Full-grain leather ages well and costs accordingly. Bonded leather is reconstituted offcuts on a backing and can crack at the wear points within a few years. Faux leather is a coated fabric, which is often the most practical of the three in a busy office.
None of these is wrong. The mistake is paying for one and expecting another.
Living with it
Leather is warmer than mesh and shows scratches from watches and belt buckles. In a south-facing office it will get hot by mid-afternoon. Keep it out of direct sun if you can, which extends its life more than any conditioner.
Ranges we stock
The Desire range covers most of this category. Ask which leather specification a given model uses before ordering several, since it varies within a range. Cooler alternatives sit in mesh and fabric.
