Café and bistro seating
Chairs for kitchens, canteens and coffee points: light enough to move, comfortable enough for a lunch break, and easy to clean.
Cleanability first
These chairs live where food is. A wipeable seat is worth more here than a marginally softer one, and it is the difference between a kitchen that looks cared for and one that does not.
Weight and stacking
Light chairs get moved, which is what you want in a flexible space. If the room ever hosts a larger gathering, check whether they stack. Pair with bistro and café tables.
Seat height and the table
Allow roughly 280 to 300mm between the seat and the underside of the table top. Less and legs are trapped; more and the table feels too high. Check this against the bistro table you are pairing them with rather than assuming a standard.
If the kitchen doubles as an informal meeting space, a few chairs with backs will get used far more than a room full of stools.
Ranges we stock
The Nest stacking chairs and Stowe stools cover most canteen requirements, in wipeable finishes that survive lunches. Match the height to your bistro and café tables, and see stools and draughtsman chairs for poseur height.
