Ergonomic and posture chairs
These chairs exist for people with a specific need, whether that is an existing back problem, a workplace assessment or long hours in one position. Buy them for a person, not for an office.
Get the assessment first
The most common mistake is buying a posture chair and hoping it helps. If there is a diagnosed issue or an occupational health report, buy to what it says. An ergonomic chair set up wrongly is no better than a standard one.
For everyone else, a well-adjusted task chair does the same job for less.
What makes them different
Posture chairs typically offer a wider range of adjustment, a forward seat tilt to open the hip angle, and more support through the lower back. Some use a saddle or kneeling design, which suit some people and not others, so try before committing across a team.
Ranges we stock
The Ergo and Chiro families cover most posture requirements, including 24-hour and multi-shift specifications. For a higher weight rating see heavy duty chairs, and for bench or counter height see stools and draughtsman chairs.
