Straight desks
The default office desk, and the right answer for most people. Simple, easy to move, and the cheapest to replace when a layout changes.
Getting the size right
Depth decides whether a desk works. 800mm puts a monitor at a comfortable distance; 600mm does not, and users push back until their arms lose support. Lose width before depth if space is tight.
1200mm wide suits a laptop and paperwork. 1400mm is comfortable with a monitor. Dual monitors want 1600mm, or 1400mm with monitor arms.
Why they stay popular
A straight desk can be turned into a bank, a row or an island without buying anything new. Corner desks give more surface but lock you into a layout, which is a real cost in an office that reorganises.
Ranges we stock
Evolve and Impulse cover this category, both with matching pedestals and storage so a room can be specified from one family. Add cable management at the same time rather than afterwards.
